Jambo!
Serengeti National Park | And welcome to my Safari travelogue! To celebrate my father's upcoming 60th birthday and imminent retirement, my parents Frits and Helma invited us (me, my brother Magiel and his girlfriend Dana) to join them on the trip of a lifetime: a wildlife Safari to Kenya and Tanzania. The twelve-day trip resulted in over 600 photos, some of which can be seen on these pages. They have been grouped by National Park, city or theme. Although I created thumbnails, some of these pages are still graphic heavy and may take some time to load. Please be patient.
Tarangire National Park | When you click on a thumbnail, the larger photo will open in a new screen. I managed to keep most of them below 100K without obvious quality loss, but some (especially the panorama shots) are even larger than that so once again, be patient. All good things come to he who waits!
Amboseli National Park | For those interested in such things, I took all photos with a Canon Powershot S10 Digital Camera (I love my digicam!). The files were collected on an IBM Microdrive. These pages are not just a travelogue, they are also a thankyou to my parents for the experience. I also want to thank Magiel and Dana for their company, and of course our drivers and guides for sharing their extensive knowledge of the wildlife and their culture with us. --Amanda |
